Person discovering the incident
- Stop nearby work, stay visible and warn approaching traffic.
- Report vehicle/plant type, location, injuries and hazards.
Incident controller / traffic control
- Set an exclusion zone and separate people from traffic and unstable equipment.
- Establish a safe emergency access route and account for personnel.
Authorised plant / technical support
- Provide plant energy, load, battery/fuel and stability information.
- Do not recover equipment until emergency services release the scene and a plan is approved.

WHEN THE IMMEDIATE DANGER HAS PASSED
Recovery and reporting
- Keep the scene and equipment secured until released.
- Quarantine involved vehicles, plant and lifting equipment.
- Preserve telematics, CCTV, permits, pre-starts and witness details.
- Manage spills and damaged batteries under the relevant response plan.
- Approve recovery and return to service through competent assessment.
